Shri Narayan Laxman Basawa born in the year 1948, established “Shri Basawa Enterprises” in the year 1988 and it now leads in dealing exclusively with Ayurvedic medicines. “Shivohum Arogyadham” was set up in the year 2010 in HUBLI, after realizing the need and the demand of Ayurvedic health care products.
BASAWA GROUP Founded by Dr.NARAYAN BASAWA in 1988, Shri Basawa Enterprises created a revolution in distribution of Ayurved medicines . Basawa Enterprises obtained a large market share in Ayurvedic field by covering metro city and reaching micro interior with major leading Ayurvedic companies as distributors, stockiest and agencies .
“SWARNAKSHREE”, is been perceived as an Over The Counter (OTC) products company, the products of can be sold even through provision stores. SWARNAKSHREE promotes the products through Desi stores, Ayurvedic outlets, provision stores, herbal vanaspati stores modern trade , malls, medical stores and even dispensing doctor.
Quality product of over 150 items by SWARNAKSHREE which consist of tails, caps, tabs, choornas, lehas, patent products, herbal based cosmetics, shampoo, soaps, beauty care products etc. The products are sold through nearly 300 agencies, 2000 RETAIL stores, doctors & has got over 3 branches.

It’s been 35 years since Basawa group came into existence. We learned that there was lack of awareness about Ayurveda, lack of knowledge about when to approach an Ayurvedic doctor, ignorance about where to go to consult with an Ayurvedic doctor. The remarkable truth that emerged from this survey was the growing interest among the public towards ayurveda and herbal cosmetics. The society at large was becoming more health conscious, thanks to the increase in the spending power and more awareness on preventive healthcare and medicines. Added to this, the perception towards allopathy shifted to an unprecedented low level which was largely due to the side effects of this medicine and limitations of allopathic doctors.
The First Step
Armed with such intrinsic and valuable data and strengthened by the growing market for Ayurveda and the number of doctors who graduated in Ayurveda, we started our first store at koppikar road in 2005. The response exceeded our expectation. The tremendous success prompted us to open two more stores in maratha gali and line bazar dharwad. We realized the potential of our business and the value we added to each and every patient who walked in either for consultation or for medicines.
The Franchisee Model
In order to reach out to more people and spread the goodness of Ayurveda, we envisaged the plan of opening a store in every locality across the karnataka . An idea, we were sure, would take the benefits of this rich tradition to the needy and provide healthier and side effects free alternative. This is how the franchisee model evolved in oct 2021.
